When
a Conjugation-I stem mutation occurs, it carries throughout all six personal
forms. (Exception: мочь) When a Conjugation-II stem mutation occurs, it affects only the
first-person singular.
(2)
There
are three stress patterns: stem,
ending, and stress-shift.
(3)
When
a stress-shift occurs, the infinitive and first-person singular are stressed on
the ending, and the remaining five forms are stressed on the stem. It is rare for a verb to have a stress-shift
